Food 4 Thought

Mockup of a white poster with the new logo I created for Food 4 Thought Community Outreach Services.

Putting the Heart in the Brand

F4TCOS does more than its name suggests. They came to us for a branding refresh that could capture the breadth of their community-based services and bring their mission into focus. We created a new logo, marketing and social media assets, and a comprehensive style guide to give their growing organization a brand that reflects the full picture.

The goal? Put the heart back into the brand. We brought the many sides of F4TCOS together into one cohesive identity—welcoming, purposeful, and full of personality. From the logo to the smallest brand details, every piece was designed to tell a bigger story: a community-focused organization with plenty of heart, purpose, and something meaningful to give.

A Mood With a Mission

Purpose Meets Personality

We began by translating the heart of Food 4 Thought Community Outreach Services  into a visual direction. Through a curated mix of colors, imagery, and typography; we created a mood board with a shared, innovative starting point. This helped us create fresh logo ideas tailored to their community-driven mission and brand.

On the desk is a sketchpad with a variety of logo ideas, a blue wooden heart and a purple wooden heart, a blue pencl, and a purple pencil, a blue pair of glasses, a rose gold cell phone, and a rose gold vase of vibrant purple orchids.

Where the Ideas Get Real

A broad mission can be a lot to fit into one small mark. F4TCOS outgrew its original logo; so we explored how Nutrition, Housing, Mental Health, Job Training, and community could come together in one cohesive mark. We tested symbols, proportions, and composition; pushing beyond the obvious, to say more with less.

It All Comes Together

Bringing the Full Picture to Life

Once all the pieces were in place, the new F4TCOS logo brought the full story into clear focus. Five elements came together in one cohesive mark representing Nutrition, Housing, Mental Health, and Job Training; with the community at the center of it all. The result is a unified identity that brings the many sides of F4TCOS together, giving each one a meaningful place to shine, and giving the organization a brand that feels as welcoming and connected as the vast community it serves.

Our Work In Action

Making the Brand Bloom

The Logo Was

Just the Beginning

Aerial view of white wooden desk with white notebook that says "Be the best version of you" on the cover. A variety of photos are spread diagonally across the middle of the desk with the symbology from the mood board I created for them. Purple orchid blooms adorn the top left and bottom right corners of the desk and in the top right is a wooden tray tht holds a plate with a pastry and a pink mug of coffee with heart foam.

A strong brand needs more than a great logo. We created a comprehensive style guide to bring the new Food 4 Thought Community Outreach Services identity into focus—from its colors and typography to the visual details that keep every future touchpoint feeling unmistakably F4TCOS. More than a collection of design guidelines, the guide brings the brand’s many elements together with intention, creating a clear and cohesive foundation for everything to come. From marketing materials to social media and beyond, each piece has room to feel connected, consistent, and true to the organization’s mission. The result is a brand system designed to grow alongside F4TCOS while keeping its purpose and the community it serves at the center of the work.

A Vibrant Brand, With Somewhere Beautiful To Go

A brand isn’t meant to just stay on the page. We carried the new Food 4 Thought Community Outreach Services identity beyond the style guide and into print materials designed to feel clear, cohesive, and unmistakably connected. From flyers to brochures, each curated piece gives the F4TCOS brand another place to show up, communicate its mission, and connect with the vast community it serves.
